dc.description.abstractMan being the most developed creature and blessed with the highest understanding and thinking ability, has try express and explore his abilities through discovery and inventing new things. The art of craftsmanship is a practice that has been carried down from generation to generation because it involves in the art of making crafts such as batik pottery basketry, woodcarving jewellery making among others. Craft is profession that requires particular skills and knowledge of the skilled work. It involves in the thinking created by the work of the hands with the help of tools and that art is seen heard as well as understand and in Uganda there are several crafts which include pottery, basketry, bark cloth making wood curving and jewellery among others Basketry is the process of weaving pliable materials into two or three dimensional art facts, such as mats, baskets, containers among others. Craft people and artists specialized in making baskets are usually referred to as basket makers and weavers. Basketry is made from a variety of pliable materials anything that will bend and form a shape examples include; pine straw, stems, animal hair, hide, grasses, thread and fine wooden splints and the main techniques include twining, coiling, Disability is a physical and mental condition that limits personal movement senses and activities. Disability is an umbrella term covering impairments, activity limits and participation restriction of person. Impairment is a problem in the body function or structure, activity limitation is a difficult encountered by an individual in involvement in life situations. Disability includes vision impairment, deaf or hard of hearing, mental health conditions, motor and industrial accident, acquired Brain injury, physical ability. Kampala district is located in central part of Uganda neighboring districts like wakiso district Luweero Mukuno among others mainlyen_US
