Unveiling Gender Norms through Song: Symbolism in Ankole Music Symbolic Landscape: Identify the prevalent symbols employed in Ankole songs to represent gender, such as animals, objects, natural elements, and metaphors. Analyze how these symbols are imbued with cultural meanings and associations that shape societal perceptions of men and women. Decoding Masculinity: Unpack the symbolic representations of masculinity in Ankole music. Examine how themes of strength, courage, leadership, and prowess are woven through song lyrics and musical elements. Explore how these symbols both empower and constrain men within the Ankole social fabric. Unveiling Femininity: Deconstruct the symbolic portrayals of femininity in Ankole songs.
