The main objective of the study was to assess factors influencing uptake of Bancassurance in Wakiso District taking a case study of DTB, Nansana branch. The study employed a cross sectional research design where a total sample of 96 clients accessing financial services from the branch were interviewed using a well-designed and pretested questionnaire. Collected data was entered using Epi-data and later exported to STATA version 15 for data processing and analysis that was done at univariate, bivariate and multivariate levels. Results showed that slightly half (53.13%) of the respondents were females and nearly 80% of the respondents were aged 25-55 years. A higher percentage (54.17%) of respondents had attained tertiary education and most of the study participants were doing business (32.29%) and formally employed (32.29%). As regards to uptake of Bancassurance, over 82% of the respondents had bank accounts mostly current account (50.63%) and saving account (36.71%) and over half of the respondents were dealing with the bank for at least last 3 years. A considerate percentage (64.58%) were aware of bank assurance with only 50% of those that were aware having taken another step to utilize the service especially taking on non-life insurance (70.97%) policies through the bank. At bivariate analysis, only education level and main sources of income were significantly associated with bank assurance awareness (P<0.05). At multivariate analysis, still results revealed a significant association between education level and main source of income of the respondent where those that had attained tertiary education had higher odds (OR=134.75) of being aware of Bancassurance whereas those that depending of their parents/guardians has less odds (OR=0.03) of being aware of Bancassurance. There is need for insurance regulatory authorities and insurance players to sensitize the public about the Bancassurance especially the less educated individuals in order to increase on their awareness and uptake of Bancassurance and the government should create more employment opportunities for low income earners in order to increase on their awareness and uptake of Bancassuranceen_US
