dc.description.abstractThe study was meant to analyze the impacts of COVID 19 on the students' performance in painting at The Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Art. More so, the thesis was based on the following objectives in relation to the study topic. -To find out the negative impacts of COVID 19 on students who do painting at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts. -To identify the possible solutions to the problems affecting the painting students in the pandemic era.-To identify other ways how painting can be taught amidst the pandemic. -To identify different precautions that can be taken to stop the spread of COVID 19 among painting students at Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Arts. The researcher presented the introductory part of the entire study in chapter one. The researcher used different authors that had written about the history of painting, and it helped the researcher come up with the background of the study. More so, it shows the research problem, purpose of the study, objectives, research questions, significance of the study, and the scope of the study. In chapter two, the researcher used some of the related literature in relation to the study objectives, quotations; questions were made basing on the study of the research. Information from the internet, documents at MTSIFA and books made by authors like Monk house was used to show the related literature on each objective. Chapter three involves the methodologies where the researcher presented the methods like interview, questionnaire and observation, research tools like camera, note books, pen and question lists among others in order to obtain information from the field. The researcher presented the information got from the field in chapter four. These findings were based on the objectives. Information was analyzed, interpreted and discussed by me. The main findings were that students did not follow the SOPs for example wearing of face masks, sanitizing and keeping a social distance, among the rest. The conclusions and recommendations were made basing on the results got from the field, following the objectives. The researcher concluded that students prefer physical painting lectures and compared to online lectures. The researcher encouraged the painting students to always keep a social distance, where possible. More so, the researcher recommended that all painting students and lecturers should go for vaccination against COVID 19, as soon as possible as it's free of charge and helps to safe guard people against the virus.en_US
