Power losses in Uganda's distribution networks.
Abstract
This project is made up of four chapters. Chapter one introduces the readers to the content of the project, chapter two presents the literature review, chapter three gives the detailed methodology of the project and chapter four summarises the achievements, challenges, recommendations and conclusions.
The introduction presents the project background, problem addressed and justification, project objectives, summary of methodology, project scope and ethical consideration.
In the literature review, a detailed study of the power distribution losses, powers network equipment, power factor and load flow studies were addressed.
Methodology summarised in chapter three is divided into field procedure, simulation software study, technical data analysis and simulation, identification of the major loss sources and modifications and then cost analysis.
The last chapter points out the achievements realised in the project, the challenges faced while carrying out this project, the recommendations and the conclusions.
