dc.description.abstract | The study sought to investigate the influence and use of the phone camera under digital photography and how it seems to have replaced conventional photography in the field of design by students at Makerere University. The objectives of the study were to find out if conventional photography is still key in the field of design; to find out why most designers use digital photography in design process; and to find out how digital photography affects creativity in the design process of a student especially the phone camera.
The study population comprised students of Makerere University from the Margaret trowelschool of industrial and Fine Art. Self administered questionnaires were used with open ended questions to gather data.
The study findings revealed that the phone camera is effective in the design process and they revealed that students think analog photography is not key in the field of design and that use of the phone camera positively affects the design process of a student. | en_US |
