THE ART RELATED ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES AT BUGANDA ROAD CRAFT MARKET AND ITS ECONOMIC IMPACT IN UGANDA Is basic theme of the research. It avails all the art activities at the market, the process that is went through by the artists to bring out the work plus the government expectations from the artists The title brings about the impact of art in general to the country, availing how it has changed the lives of Ugandans through employing them, enabling the government to get tax for the country development The title also touches the history of art in Uganda, The evolution of art in terms of technological tactics used to produce the works, the art legends over the years and their contribution in the art industry. The title means availing of different art works at the market and how art has economically impacted on the country, the specific concentration of the research is on Painting. On the economic side, the title is targeting on how much the artist get from their art works, how much the government gains from the activities and generally how art has changed the country. The problem of the activity to be researched, Even though the market is making progress and expanding, most of the customers received are foreigners from outside countries, this shows that Typical Ugandans have little interest in art, this has de-campaigned art in a way that, few people ignore the art business thinking that it is profitless and embarrassing The art industry lacks expected support from the government, this is evidenced by the rising of points in The senior six exams, one must attain to go for a government sponsorship unlike the science studies. Even giving loans to artists is rare as compared to other businesses Comparing to some outside countries, the machines used to produce different works of art are less advanced, this is due to the low interest some Ugandans have in art that makes them fail to export advanced machines Literature review A lot of works done by different artists in Uganda and the whole world are done using different techniques even though some of them are alike for example Donald Wasswa As a multi- disciplinary artist that trained from kyambogo university, his work is both aesthetically and conceptually changed from his drawings, paintings, sculpture and installations, there is immense attention to fine finishing and detail as well as building mature concepts and storytelling, Henry MziliMujunga. Throughout his career, he has been exploring intuitive ways of reviving African art through art movement called indigenous expressionismen_US
